Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay Top Lollapalooza 2011 Line up

Muse, My Morning Jacket, deadmau5 and more confirmed for Lolla 2011, set for August 5-7 in Chicago.

Lollapalooza turns 20 in 2011, and when the granddaddy of all American summer festivals decides to throw a birthday party, the biggest acts on the planet are invited to help celebrate.
Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse, My Morning Jacket and deadmau5 top the Lolla 2011 lineup, which was revealed early Tuesday morning (April 26). Joining them is an appropriately eclectic mix of talent, including A Perfect Circle, Cee Lo Green, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley and Nas, the Cars and Ween.
The announcement confirmed a Chicago Tribune report that surfaced in early February and cited "reliable industry sources" as saying Em, the Foos and Muse would headline this year's edition of the fest.
Speaking of this year, Bright Eyes, Arctic Monkeys, Big Audio Dynamite, Deftones, Explosions in the Sky, Crystal Castles, Lykke Li, Foster the People, Two Door Cinema Club, Best Coast and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals are also on the bill. Lollapalooza co-founder Perry Farrell will once again curate a dance and electronic music tent, which will feature performances from Girl Talk, Kid Cudi, Skrillex, Afrojack and more.
All in all, Lollapalooza 2011 features more than 130 bands. As in previous years, the fest will once again take place in Chicago's Grant Park, on August 5-7.
Early-bird tickets to the three-day event went on sale in late March and have since sold out. Regular-priced three-day passes are currently on sale through Lollapalooza.com and cost $215. VIP passes and travel packages are also available, and single-day passes are set to go on sale June 7.
